Saturday, May 28th thru Monday, May 30th, the Ontario Public Library will be closed. The book drop will be available, located in back of Library/Town Hall Building. The library will reopen Tuesday, May 31st at 10AM.
Taking applications for
our newest position: part-time Programming Clerk. The clerk will work with staff on programs for members and guests of all ages. As a Clerk, the job also covers shifts at the Front Desk aiding patrons and answering questions, checking out books, and other routine work. Summers are undeniably full of outdoor fun, so apply soon and get a head start. The deadline is April 18. The position will remain open until filled.

While Ontario Public Library continues to offer our personalized services in selection, delivery, and returning library materials to homebound resident patrons. NYS Talking Book and Braille Library is offering library service by U.S. Post for eligible residents of upstate who are unable to use standard print materials due to a visual, physical or reading disability. Serviced through the NYS Talking Book and Braille Library (TBBL), the collection offers residents books, audio books, magazines and materials in alternative formats for readers and those learning to read of all ages. Ancestry LE Remote Access Ends for Family Research
Begun with the Covid pandemic in the spring of 2020, free home-based genealogy research with Ancestry.com has ended. The database provider, ProQuest officially announced free remote access to the Ancestry LE will ended December 31, 2021.
There is good news. You can continue use of this database services funded by The Central Library (GPL), and Pioneer Library System.
