Effective January 1, 2022 availability to the genealogy website Ancestry is no longer available remotely. You may access it from within the library using public computers or your own device connected to the library WiFi. Free home access (aka remote access) has ended.
In-library access through OWWL to the Ancestry LE database is a bit different from the personal version, if you have experience with their full fee-based package. The main difference is that the library edition lacks some of the personalization tools such as creating and linking family trees.
Library visitors can use their own internet-connected devices (laptops, tablets, etc.) at the library or public library computers. We recommend that researchers using library computers bring their own flash drives.
