Driving to OPL? Plan ahead: Ridge Road DETOUR! During the business day, Ridge Road construction has blocked (detoured) access to the Library/Town Hall from the west at Furnace/Walworth Road. From the east, access from Ontario Center Rd is open. The construction work is done 4 days a week 6AM to 4:30PM and will last a number of weeks. Masks are no longer required for visitors who have completed the Covid-19 vaccination process.
Wearing masks is only required for unvaccinated teens and adults, and all children under the age of 12. This is a Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) requirement. Disposable masks are available in the Library
Social distancing is recommended.

The Ontario Public Library kicks off its Annual Summer Reading Program on Friday, June 25th with Tie Dye Day. OPL’s Summer Reading is from June 25th to-August 6th. It includes a variety of programs for all ages and Reading Rewards with weekly prize drawings. Some programs require registration such as Tie Tye Day, Pirate Day, Escape Room while the Shine Only Programs and Drop-in Programs just require you to come.
All Programs will try to be outside, so plan to come prepared with sunscreen, water, chairs and whatever you need to be comfortable

A message from the Library Board of Directors: Masks are still required for all who visit OPL.
Since many of our members and visitors are children, who are not yet able to be vaccinated, we have decided to continue our current policies and procedures requiring masks for all through the WCSD 2020-2021 school year.
Any change to Board guidance regarding wearing masks will be shared as we get closer to June 25. Effective Wednesday May 19, 2021
We’re staying open longer for residents who want to visit after 5:00pm. New hours are:
Monday & Tuesday : 10am-7pm / Wednesday, Thursday, Friday: 10am-5pm
Changes in hours and services will continue as NY Covid restrictions loosen.
